Amazon's Customer Packaging Experience (CPEX) team is looking for an outstanding, analytical and technically skilled Support Engineer Manager (Business Intelligence Manager) to join our team. This position will help lead, build, and support the business analytics platform supporting CPEX program managers in decision making. S/he will continue to raise the bar for the business analytics function and reporting framework.

This role requires an individual with excellent statistical and analytical abilities, deep knowledge of business intelligence solutions and data engineering practices as well as outstanding business acumen and ability to work with various teams across Amazon. The successful candidate will be a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity, with strong attention to detail, an ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, and driven by a desire to innovate in this space.

Key Responsibilities include:
· Manage a team of business intelligence and data engineers.
Support the development, maintenance and operation of supplemental analysis outside of CPEX's reporting system - measuring and driving content.
· Use quantitative models necessary for analysis of CPEX program and project results.
· Conduct periodic analysis of trends and issues based on CPEX reports, so include data gathering and manipulation, synthesis and modeling, problem solving, and communication of insights and recommendations.
· Develop desktop solutions for ad-hoc reporting of short term pilot programs or incident investigations.
· Supporting the development of detailed reporting specifications for migration of offline analysis into standard reporting

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
· 3+ years of relevant Support Engineer leadership experience and experience with ETL, data modeling, and business intelligence architectures
· Previous experience managing and developing a team.
· Experience with Big Data solutions: Hadoop, Pig/Hive or other frameworks
· Experience in relational database concepts with a solid knowledge of star schema, Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL, SQL Tuning, OLAP, Big Data technologies
· Experience building self-service reporting solutions using business intelligence software (e.g., OBIEE, Tableau Server, Micro Strategy etc.).
· Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
· Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
· Demonstrated ability to work effectively across various internal organizations.
