As a Systems Support Engineer working within AWS Infrastructure you will:
· Support a number of tools and services related to data center operations
· Have end to end ownership of projects
· Build and rollout of infrastructure across multiple global regions
· Create processes that can be leveraged to help drive efficiencies and quality
· Work closely with our internal customers to help alleviate their problems
· Drive operational excellence
· Work on a variety of hardware platforms across multiple vendors

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

* This position requires that the candidate selected be a U.S. citizen and must currently possess an active Top Secret security clearance. The position further requires that, after start, the selected candidate obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph and satisfy other security related requirements.
- Open to working shifts, including overnight shifts
- Minimum 1 year of Linux/Unix System Support experience
- Superior technical aptitude, written and oral communications skills
- Ability to deal effectively with people at different levels and in different situations
- An understanding of technical issues, both hardware and software
- An understanding in scripting (Perl, Python, etc)
- An understanding in writing automation scripts and self-service tools
- An understanding of working in mission-critical, operations support environment
- An understanding in network diagnostic tools
- An understanding in TCP/IP and routing protocols
- Ability to develop clear, concise documentation.
- Ability to interact with internal and external teams to diagnose and solve technical problems
- Passion for process improvement and customer service
