As a member of Amazon.com's Promotions Customer Experience team, you'll play a key role in the creation and evolution in the UX for how customers discover and use promotions while shopping on Amazon.com around the world. The team is looking for a strong Sr. UX Designer to join the team in San Francisco, CA or Seattle, WA with the mission of defining the UX vision and influencing the direction of an enhanced shopping experience for promotions. You will help to co-define requirements and will collaborate to draw the best design ideas from teammates of all kinds. Our systems are responsible for creating, messaging, and calculating discounts for promotional campaigns for all Amazon websites worldwide as well as those of our e-commerce partners. You will have an immediate impact on systems that are invoked by website shopping applications hundreds of millions of times – each day!

Responsibilities

· Analyze customer problems and deliver user experiences that measurably meet or exceed business and customer expectations
· Consider market analysis, customer feedback, technical constraints/opportunities and user research, and drive data-driven decision making
· Build partnerships across the UX teams and in the wider organization to facilitate effective decision making towards a more coherent cross-platform experience
· Share design expertise and knowledge with others to improve organizational capability within our Product Management and Engineering teams.
· Provide innovation leadership in the area of promotion discovery and execution across a range of platforms and devices, existing and emerging.
· Develop and maintain detailed user-interface specifications
· Stay on the cutting edge of what's new in technology and user experience (within and outside Amazon), identifying opportunities to experiment with the application of new technologies and interaction patterns to customer problems

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Solid experience as a UX designer, interaction designer, design technologist, front-end designer, UI designer, or similar role
· Experience working with product and technology teams to deliver complex programs
· Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills including the ability to communicate complex, interactive design concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization
· A portfolio or samples of work demonstrating experience of outstanding user-centered design solutions on web and mobile.
· Fluency in best practices in responsive design for the web, HIGs for mobile platforms, as well as strong knowledge of usability and accessibility principles and techniques
· Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience
