Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a talented and passionate Sr. UX Designer to take a lead role in creating innovative, delightful experiences for our customers. This role will be responsible for relentlessly advocating for the best possible customer experience, collaborating with a number of different groups, and working on a fast-paced and creative team of product managers, developers, and designers. The AWS Website team focuses on the full lifecycle of a customer's evaluation and adoption of our products, services, and platform. We take a cross-service, cross-channel perspective – prioritizing the highest impact opportunities for each lifecycle segment, translating these opportunities into actionable hypotheses, partnering with leaders across the organization to create experiments, and ensuring winning experiments are turned into scalable programs.

Responsibilities:
· Lead design initiatives in Amazon's fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
· Define, assess, and optimize the performance of new and existing features.
· Advocate for customers responsibly and effectively, grow your skills while mentoring others, and impart day-to-day strategic user experience leadership.
· Scope, prioritize, and plan project work and requests with in-house teams, customers, and vendors to ensure timely delivery.
· Own your end-to-end design process and deliverables (including user personas, workflows, wire-frames, mock-ups, and prototypes).
· Conceptualize and communicate design strategy and detailed interaction behaviors for both mobile and web.
· Promote and utilize a variety of qualitative and quantitative assessment methodologies throughout the development lifecycle.
· Lead your team and partners in defining, tracking, and reporting key user experience metrics.
· Review with and gather feedback on work from business, product management, development, and peer design teams as well as executive leadership.
· Evaluate new and emerging methods and technologies in UX prototyping, and identify best-of-breed to incorporate into your team's toolkit.
· Evaluate, establish, and apply best practices, patterns, and guidelines.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 5+ years of experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, product designer or similar role designing mobile, web, and other on-device applications
· A successful track record of working with business stakeholders as a design leader
· Experience creating production specifications and assets, and working directly with developers for implementation of designs
· Experience with a variety of design tools such as Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Axure
· Proficiency with integrated prototyping tools such as Flinto
· Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present a rationale for design decisions to senior leadership
· A portfolio demonstrating experience creating great user-centered design solutions and GUI design expertise
