The Amazon Robotics (AR) Operations organization manufactures high-quality robotics and gets the right materials to the right place at the right time to enable our automated solutions. It’s a fast-paced operation that works cross-functionally with teams across Amazon globally, and is driven by data and performance indicators. The Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) will be responsible for overseeing manufacturing and supply chain initiatives and program managing new corporate and R&D facilities. The role will own cross-functional communications, strategic planning for manufacturing from prototype to high volume, KPI development, and capacity planning. In this position you will be responsible for scoping and delivering large projects end-to-end for manufacturing, supply chain and test; collecting business and systems requirements from internal and external customers; writing specifications; driving project schedules from design to full production. You will be expected to clearly communicate goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes to internal cross-functional and remote project teams. As a Senior TPM, you will provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints.

Responsibilities
· Manage AR Manufacturing and Supply Chain programs and strategic planning
· Develop and manage integrated schedules and project plans.
· Work cross-functionally to develop and document business requirements to support the launch of new spaces.
· Provide regular updates to senior leadership teams across multiple sites and functions.
· Coordinate the development of manufacturing tools, processes, and infrastructure.
· Facilitate successful internal and external Alpha and Beta testing.
· Drive development of program specific quality plans across multiple teams.
· Write business and operational planning documents for the project teams.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· MBA or advanced Engineering degree preferred.
· Expertise in construction project management and strategic planning.
· Uses a strong analytical approach to problem-solving.
· Experience managing a technology product from concept through delivery.
· Ability to devise frameworks and mechanisms to resolve work streams and prioritize projects.
· Experience in manufacturing/operations/supply chain analysis, and/or process improvement (eg. Lean-Six Sigma).
· Self-motivated and able to solve problems independently and in team settings.
· Willing to “roll up sleeves and do what needs to get done” to consistently deliver results.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s degree.
· 5+ years’ experience involving program management in a complex technology context, with manufacturing experience.
· Ability to deliver multiple projects or programs with aggressive schedules.
· Experience and proven skill in written and verbal business communications, including writing white papers, designing organizational communications, reporting metrics, generating useful management and control reports, and articulating business cases for executive audiences.
· Familiar with all facets of Operations manufacturing for high volume products, including but not limited to automated/semi-automated manufacturing line, tooling development and qualification, End of Line testing, and Quality systems.
· Experience working with engineering teams to define, scope, and prioritize product requirements to ensure operational and manufacturing success.
· Has managed and/or worked effectively to influence large teams. Able to work well across functional groups, and successfully influence others to get things done.
· Strong grasp of project management tools. Oracle ERP experience is a plus.
· Able to travel periodically based on program needs.
