Amazon is seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Analyst (m/f) to join its fast growing marketplace business and to make Amazon Earth's most customer-centric company.

The role can be based in Luxembourg, London, Paris or Munich.

You are a strong leader with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You have a passion for using data to drive business decisions. You are motivated by improving reporting applications and finding innovative, simplified solutions to provide the Finance and Marketplace business teams with robust and automated insight. You thrive in solving challenging problems analyzing and modelling very large data sets. You enjoy diving below the surface to identify the root cause and the “so what” rather than just superficial trends. You love participating in cross-functional projects that will directly impact the commercial performance of the business.

Responsibilities include:
· Leading a small team of business analysts responsible for the standard and analytical reporting of the Seller Services business line
· Improve and automate reporting for the EU-wide Finance and Business leadership teams
· Creating new innovative and insightful reports according to business requirements in a timely manner
· Work closely with BI teams across Europe to centralize country-developed BI applications for EU-wide consumption
· Participate in and drive cross-functional projects in collaboration with BI teams across Europe (limited travel may be required)
· Providing support for the analysis of current and historic performance ahead of EU-wide business reviews
· Mentor working students and interns within your team

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Advanced degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or related field
· Advanced data analysis skills – e.g. database query construction, data warehousing, forecasting, data mining and experience in business analysis
· Advanced SQL, database, and business intelligence experience
· Experience in Tableau or other similar BI tool(s)
· Expert in MS Excel.
· Experience solving highly challenging problems – you must be able to think laterally and solve extremely ambiguous problems quickly and comprehensively
· Strong bias for action, highly organized and ability to complete a high volume of tasks and projects with limited guidance and tight deadlines
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills including technical writing
· Fluency in English is required
· Strong team player and the ability to work in a diverse environment with people in various locations
· Impeccable attention to detail, passion for processes, systems and data mining
· High levels of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information
