We are looking for a flexible, organized, self-starting Sr. Business Analyst to join the Amazonian Experience & Technology (AET) Planning & Analytics team to help us drive and measure improvements. This is a high business impact role for a candidate with experience working with both business and data analytics teams to tackle complex business problems, translate business needs into requirements for analysis and provide insights based on your discoveries.

As a Sr. Business Analyst, you will work to drive improvement and efficiency in areas including (but not limited to): business planning and reporting, hiring velocity, internal business processes and other priorities within the organization. You will leverage data to provide insights, establish baseline metrics, simplify complex data reporting and collaborate with business teams to drive impact against objectives. You will connect dots among different data sources, quickly, produce data for reports, and create data visualizations that enable leaders to interpret complex data sets. You will recognize and apply best practices in reporting and analysis, data integrity, and documentation and drive results in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.

Successful candidates will have experience in large corporate environments, strong analytical capabilities, the ability to influence with data-driven recommendations, and excellent problem solving abilities.

Key job responsibilities
Including but not limited to:
· Act as a SME for internal Planning & Analytics processes
· Deliver analytical insights with actionable outcomes to inform business decisions and prioritization
· Manage and execute entire components of large projects from start to finish including data gathering and manipulation, synthesis, problem solving, and communication of insights and recommendations.
· Invent new ways to define and measure program effectiveness and productivity
· Contribute to the writing of papers for internal audiences

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· 7+ years of relevant experience in a business analyst/data analyst/statistical analysis role
· Ability to distill, cater, and communicate complex analysis and insights to senior leaders, both verbally and in writing
· Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
· Proven ability balance competing priorities, workloads, and tight timelines in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· BA/BS in Business, Computer Science, Economics, Finance or related field
· 5+ years of relevant experience in a business analyst, data analyst or statistical analyst role
· 2+ years of experience with SQL and at least one data visualization tool (Power BI, Tableau, QuickSight, or similar)
· Prior experience in developing requirements and formulating business metrics for reporting
· Proven problem solving skills, project management skills, attention to detail, and exceptional organizational skills
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
