DESCRIPTION

Amazon's Business Development org is looking for a full-time Biz Dev Space Program Manager. This position is intended to increase our emphasis on space planning efficiency and customer experience by identifying and planning for the business, individual teams and employee needs in advance of growth while streamlining efforts and tools to reduce overall cost. The candidate for this position must be an excellent communicator, with an ability to guide stakeholders in defining scope and effectively using resources. As a Space Program Manager you will work with experienced teams to carry out new processes following a systematic and repetitive methodology with strong attention to accuracy. You will also utilize analytical skills to determine the best outcome for Biz Dev Business teams with a big picture focus. You must be responsive, flexible and able to succeed with minimal supervision in an open and collaborative environment. This role requires complete confidentiality.

The Role
· Serve as the liaison between Biz Dev and Global Real Estate and Facilities teams.
· Partner with Biz Dev and the Global Real Estate and Facilities teams to define business requirements, participating in company-wide projects and initiatives as appropriate.
· Create visibility about key initiatives taking place in Biz Dev and Global Real Estate and Facilities teams.
· Coordinate with the Global Real Estate and Facilities group and financial business partners to analyze headcount data and forecast demand. Manage the recurring communication of this information to provide accurate and timely updates to the Global Real Estate and Facilities team for campus-wide strategic planning of the overall number of seats needed.
· Establish, enhance, track, and report on metrics to allow performance improvements so that the desired outcomes are achieved to plan and in a timely manner.
· Understand current Amazon internal systems capabilities and limitations, including Facilities Management (FM) Systems, Actuate, Cognos, HR Data Mart, inside.amazon.com, PeopleSoft and Trouble Ticketing.
· Develop business cases that receive the required approval, financial and technical resources, and the support of appropriate management to enact desired changes.
· Negotiate best capacity stack plans for Biz/Dev, and their Finance and Human Resources partners by managing trade-offs between employee experience and cost effectiveness.
· Create and maintain accurate digital floor maps using internal and external design systems such as Bluebeam Revu.
· Proactively communicate changes in space to management and post updated changes to the Biz Dev Space SharePoint page
· Complete physical space audits and related data updates for the Seattle Biz Dev Teams
· Proactively monitor and update Biz Dev org space Trouble Tickets ensuring updates are communicated to the space program manager and management when necessary
· Proactively work with Space Admins during building moves and org restacks to correct misaligned data such as duplicate or missing locations
· Process and ensure other space related changes such as updated tracking for storage rooms, key assignments and team artwork
· Assist Lead Biz Dev Space program manager in driving system/process changes with thoughtful input and data.
· Create visibility around process gaps and communicate improvement recommendations to the Biz Dev Space Team. Participate in planning meetings.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Employment experience with a track record of increased responsibility and high attention to detail
· High technical aptitude and understanding of computer systems
· Intermediate or advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite; Outlook, Word, Power Point and Excel.
· Strong sense of accountability and sound personal judgment.
· Excellent listening, speaking, verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build positive and professional relationships.
· Ability to interface with all levels of the business and organization.
