Job summary
Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.

This role is for a highly dynamic and motivated individual that will work on pre-production solar arrays and solar array hardware to meet the needs of Project Kuiper. We are looking for an individual who works well with engineering teams under minimal oversight to take hardware from concept to production. This will be an R&D focused position so expect the work to be dynamic and exciting.

· Mechanical and electrical assembly of the solar array
· Performance testing of solar array modules and other related hardware
· Work closely with engineering teams to optimize manufacturability and to develop custom automation equipment
· Maintain, operate, and identify production equipment
· With or without reasonable accommodation, be able to lift up to 49 pounds on some occasions, stand/walk for up to 8-10 hours (with breaks), and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach

Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.


· Experience building and/or testing solar panels
· Welding and soldering experience
· Aerospace experience
· Excellent communication and teamworking skills
· Experience with aerospace or aviation quality standards
· Cleanroom experience

Desired profile


· High school diploma or equivalency certificate
· Minimum of 1 years of experience with mechanical and electrical assembly in a mid-to-high volume production environment
