If you are a Software Development Engineer eager to build inventive services for Prime Video, develop a brand new set of Talent Management apps and platforms or create personalized ads for Amazon's Dynamic Advertising program, we want to meet you!
Amazon is traveling to Prague (Czech Republic) on the 3rd-7th September 2018 to interview Software Development Engineers who are interested in relocating to work in the UK. Our UK offices include locations such as Edinburgh and London.

As an engineer working at Amazon, you will play a key role in building software products and features from the ground up. You will use a wide range of technologies, programming languages and systems and your responsibilities will include all aspects of software development. You will have the freedom and encouragement to explore your own ideas and the reward of seeing your contributions benefit millions of Amazon.com customers worldwide.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
· Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design.
· Competent in at least one of Java, C++, C#, Objective-C.
· Experience with one or more of JavaScript, Ruby, Perl, Python.
· Evidence of working with algorithms, data-structures, efficiency, concurrency, performance optimization.
· Evidence of working with object-oriented development and design patterns.
· OS fundamentals and systems architecture.
· Cloud computing, large-scale and high-availability distributed architecture.
· Experience working in an Agile environment.
· Strong analytical and excellent problem solving skills.
· Strong written and verbal English communications skills.
