The Amazon GuardDuty team is looking for a strong system engineer to help build the future of the service. We are innovating new ways of building massively scalable and globally distributed security systems for assisting our customers with security and compliance.
We are seeking a System Development Engineer with a strong knowledge of distributed systems to extend our security service into new regions. This position will support AWS regions required for the US Government. This position requires that the candidate selected be a U.S. citizen and obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance. You must enjoy working on complex software systems in a customer-centric environment and be passionate not only about building good software but also ensuring that the same software achieves its goals in operational reality.
Desired profile
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
· 3+ years professional experience in commercial/large scale system software development and delivery.
· 3+ years professional experience in object-oriented design and implementation skills (Ruby, Java, and/or C++), preferably on Linux.
· 1+ years experience developing prototypes at the right level of fidelity for each phase of development, from startup through launch and beyond.
· This position requires that the candidate selected be a U.S. citizen and obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance.
