Job Overview – You will work with the sensor development team writing real time firmware and higher level vision algorithms to support sensor systems for robotic operations. You will work closely with hardware, systems and mechanical engineers in developing world class sensor systems. This work will involve the full range of product development from writing scrappy level code to quickly evaluate sensor types to writing production level code. You'll work with the team to develop test and calibration fixtures to ensure the sensors perform as intended and could be part of a safety system.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Electrical, Computer or other engineering discipline, ideally with formal training or experience in embedded development of vision systems
· Proficiency in C++, and Python
· Low level system experience with Linux, device drivers and multicore and/or multi-processor systems
· Experience diagnosing and debugging complex, distributed system issues, and the ability to quickly diagnose and solve difficult problems
· Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and capable of working both in an individual and team environment.
· Demonstrable skills in developing testable code, test fixtures, and supporting a test-driven architecture
· Must be comfortable working with existing code, debugging and fixing code not developed by you
· Proficient oral and written communications skills and collaborates well in a team environment
