Here at Amazon we are looking to hire an experienced Reliability Engineering Area Manager to join the Reliability, Maintenance & Engineering team in area of Amazon Logistic Delivery Stations.

Purpose of the job:

The Reliability Engineering Area Manager for Amazon Logistic is part of the AU Reliability, Maintenance & Engineering team and responsible for the entire technical area of selected delivery stations in a region. They maintain the focus on safety by training, developing and coaching of local teams and external contractors. They ensure a smooth process and maximum availability of the building and conveyor systems. They deliver a high level of equipment availability by ensuring all preventative maintenance is conducted and internal processes and procedures are followed. The Reliability Engineering Area Manager for Amazon Logistic is Australia nationwide role and 40-50% of the working time is spent on trips to the various delivery stations in order to ensure maintenance measures on site.

The ideal candidate already has Engineering management experience in the transport industry, especially the CEP industry or a similarly fast-moving logistics / distribution environment.

Key Responsibilities
· Lead, support and mentor the team by finding barriers that prevent them from working in a safe, standard and efficient manner. Work with the team and the wider network to harness the technical expertise available and build solutions.
· Management and implementation of projects related to the improvement of system availability and process availability.
· Weak point analysis, concept development and implementation of measures to optimize conveyor and building technology processes.
· Support of the project engineering team in launch projects and initiatives.
· Cooperation with internal and external business partners.
· Overall responsibility for the maintenance area of building and conveyor systems.
· Cross-shift ensuring that faults are rectified on technical systems and plants.
· Planning and adherence to maintenance and repair budgets.
· Implementation of risk analyzes.
· Monitoring and reporting of the technical key performance indicators.
· Support the National Reliability Maintenance Engineering Manager as they work with the site Safety department & Site Leadership to implement, record and audit safety and statutory compliance programs to provide a safe working environment for all staff.
· Implement network standards and focus on preventative maintenance to provide a high level of equipment availability to our internal customers.
· Ensure sufficient technical coverage is available for the shifts they own by managing and driving the training programs.
· Manage local projects or support Australia wide projects as assigned by the manager.
· Provide regular Safety and Work equipment standard audits in Amazon Logistic facilities.
· Willing to travel at least 40% of the time

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Full working knowledge of all specialized engineering and facilities equipment within the Amazon Logistic Delivery Stations as well as maintenance and safety procedures.
· Project Management experience.
· Knowledge of CMMS programmes.
· Experience with Kaizen and Continuous Improvement Process

Desired profile



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Significant practical engineering experience including a supervisory role managing people.
· Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen and 5S basic knowledge
· A Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil) from an accredited university or 2+ years experience in an Amazon engineering team.
· Multi skilled in both electrical and mechanical disciplines.
· Experience of automated equipment including packaging machinery, sortation and conveyor systems.
· Excellent communications skills (written & verbal)
· Experience of working to appropriate health & safety standards and regulations.
· Excellent computer skills (MS Office, CAD).
