The Amazon Appstore is looking for high-energy, detail-oriented, and technically-savvy Mobile Apps Quality Assurance Technicians to perform quality assurance testing on the digital content consumed by Amazon's mobile customers. QATs at Amazon are excellent individual contributors capable of understanding and executing test cases, driving test execution with minimal help. QATs would be trying to understand application performance, functionality, features to great depth which would enable them to report issues and take ownership and drive them to closure. QATs are highly accurate in performing application tests, reporting the behavior ensuring that there is no ambiguity while reproducing issues. High quality and accuracy is maintained throughout the application release without compromising on deadlines. You will manage the flow and processing of new submissions and resubmissions to include record creation, record management, download, install, test and validation of the digital content to ensure it meets Amazon's high quality bar. Above all, you will play a vital role in helping us meet our selection expansion goals while protecting our high-quality customer experience.

Role Responsibilities:
As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will:
· Set up and maintain digital content records using internal Amazon systems
· Download, install, and test Amazon's digital content to ensure it meets Amazon's high quality bar and adheres to Amazon's merchandising policies
· Conduct extensive tests on the digital content and provide accurate reports with unambiguous steps to reproduce the issues reported.
· Work with the account management team to address content issues as required
· Communicate and Partner with different teams (both internal and external) to address the issues reported and drive them to closure
· Maintain detailed and accurate progress records to enable aggregate performance and issue tracking
· Identify and champion process improvement ideas and systems enhancements that could increase the productivity or quality of our content operations

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 2+ years quality assurance testing in a technology industry or equivalent
· Bachelor's degree with concentrations in computer science or other technical field required.
· A passion for computers, eCommerce, the Internet, digital content, and the mobile market segment
· Excellent testing skills
· Ability to showcase programming knowledge in debugging issues and identifying the area where bug lies
· Meticulous attention to detail; the ability to juggle many tasks in parallel without lowering your quality bar
· Self-motivation and a strong bias for action; the ability to hit aggressive productivity goals without micromanagement
· Strong communication skills; the ability to partner with internal team members effectively
· An ability to identify, communicate, and champion process improvement opportunities that will benefit the entire content operations team
