We're looking for a Quality Assurance Technician who combines technical skills with a passion for ensuring Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) parts, assemblies and aircraft meet designed specifications. Amazon Prime Air is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Technician for our quality control department who will be responsible to develop and execute all aspects of quality assurance inspections, quality metrics, audits, improvement projects and support all activities related to continued airworthiness outlined in 14 CFR 21.137 . Activities within this program include the following:

Responsibilities:
· Performing incoming inspections to accept/reject parts and assemblies
· Create and update exiting inspection plans to ensure Acceptable Quality Levels are maintained (AQL)
· Perform first article inspections per AS9102 as required to ensure compliance
· Develop and issue Non-conformance reports and corrective action events to drive quality improvement
· Implement and maintain a tool control calibration and recall system
· Assist and conduct audits with suppliers and In-house production organizations
· Develop Quality metrics and process control plans to identify key Quality characteristics and monitor defect trends
· Collect data and compile Quality scorecards to assist with actions to improve supplier and In-house Quality

A successful candidate will have a long track record of supporting Quality inspection programs for high volume, high complexity products in the Aerospace, Aviation, Automotive or high tech industries. They will be a strong leader who prioritizes well and communicates clearly.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Associates degree in Quality, Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Machining, Manufacturing Technology or (5) years equivalent work experience
· 4+ years of Quality Assurance work experience in a High Tech, Aerospace or Aviation manufacturing environment building multi-disciplinary hardware products
· 3+ years' experience with manufacturing inspection processes of electronics, wiring harnesses, aviation machined parts and/or composites
· 3+ years' experience using height gauges, micrometers, calipers, go/no gauges etc.
· Excellent people skills
· Proficiency with M/S outlook, word, excel
