Title: Quality Assurance Engineer III
Location: Seattle, WA
Position Responsibilities:
Responsible for development of test strategies and creation of appropriate test harnesses. Evaluate product functionality and create test strategies and test cases to assess product quality. Test code at the user level, both manually and with automated tools. Use black box, gray box, and white box testing techniques. Understand software internals, debug problems using log files, and write automated tests and/or user-level test automation tools. Work with Software Development Engineers to understand features and technical implementation. Work with groups such as Product Management, User Experience Design, and Customer Support to understand customer usage models and develop test plans and test suites that approximate real-world environments and regression tests. Responsible for driving the software development process toward quality-centric methodologies.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Position Requirements:
Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and one year of experience in the job offered, or as a Programmer/Analyst, Quality Assurance Engineer, Software Test Developer, or a related occupation. Employer will accept a Bachelor' s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and five years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation as equivalent to the Master' s degree and one year of experience. Must have one year of experience in the following skill(s): knowledge of QA methodology and tools; knowledge of UNIX environment and Shell scripting; experience in Java, Perl, or Python based automation; and the ability to understand technical specifications and analyze log files.
