In the Connectivity Solutions Group, we are inventing the future for consumer electronics and connectivity and are looking for a Sr, Compliance engineer to bring our vision into reality. As a Compliance Engineer, you will be experienced in FCC, BIS, WPC ETA, ETIG and worldwide certification and deployment processes of wireless enabled consumer electronics devices. You will have familiarity with wireless radio technology ranging from, WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n/ad to Cellular LTE/CDMA/WCDMA and GSM. You will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary staff to conceive and design innovative consumer products. You will work closely with an internal inter-disciplinary team to drive key aspects of product definition, execution and test. You must be responsive, flexible and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment.

In this role you will work closely with the design teams and help specify regulatory requirements, completing pre-testing of the Hardware platforms, mobile devices and accessories developed by several product design team sand supporting the team through product execution, ultimately assisting the team to obtain the required regulatory compliance on the devices. The regulatory approvals will consist of FCC, BIS, WPC ETA, ADPM among other country specific certifications.

In this role, you will:

· Work with design teams to perform pre certification testing, EMI and ESD testing
· Work with design teams to review for compliance and deployment related considerations
· Create processes to ensure the Compliance Team communicates policies and processes – as it relates to regulatory compliance (FCC, BIS, ETIG, global)
· Test production-level units to ensure in-production units continue to meet global certifications (FCC, BIS, ETIG Product Safety)
· Work with the accessory team to make sure all product safety, performance, and regulatory requirements are met
· Work with suppliers to draft the product-specific regulatory test requirements, monitor and update test status, and drive tests to completion

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or similar technical discipline
· 3+ years of EMI/ESD compliance testing and debug experience
· 3+ years in wireless product deployments
· 3+ years of product safety submission experiences with AC adaptors and consumer electronics core products (i.e. end product, including servers, agency critical components like internal hard drives, or internal/external power supplies)
· Experience with ROHS, REACH and other environmental compliance experiences
· Experience working with Asia-based manufacturing partners
· MS Office applications including Excel
· International travel, as needed, up to 25%
