About the Role:
Audible is looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer (QAE) to join our work on the future of Audible on mobile devices. We're looking for creative, open-minded software quality assurance engineers to help test technologies that continuously improve the Audible listening experience.
The Quality Assurance Engineer will need to oversee the entire development process, which includes software testing, from start to finish. Qualified candidates will ensure all aspects of quality including functionality, performance, accessibility and security. Candidates will need to define test plans, test suites, test cases as well as utilize automated tools to optimize the STLC. Your responsibilities will include continuously monitoring and increasing test coverage, performing exploratory testing, automating repetitive tasks and working side by side with software development engineers to deliver high quality product to the Audible customers.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
· Scripting proficiency
· Experience with functional, performance and security testing in an SOA environment
· Expert Knowledge of QA Methodologies and software development life cycle
· A minimum of 3 years of experience in software quality and/or testing using automated tools and frameworks.
· Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
· Strong analytical, troubleshooting/problem solving skills
· Experience working closely with member of both the product and development teams to communicate problem impacts
· Ability to work independently and own and drive software quality efforts
· Ability to understand technical specifications
