The Amazon Alexa Business Excellence (BEx) team is looking for Project Managers to support the Program Managers in the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency across the company strategy, commitments and goals. The ideal candidate must be able to dive deep, be able to invent and simplify, deliver results quickly, and have a strong bias for action.

Responsibilities

· Support the planning and implementation of projects
· Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables
· Define project tasks and resource requirements
· Develop full scale project plans that insure data pipelines meet all SLAs
· Assist in assembling and coordinating project staff
· Manage project resource allocation
· Plan and schedule project timelines
· Track project deliverables using appropriate tools
· In partnership with the Program Manager provide direction and support to project team
· Partner closely with Quality Assurance teams to insure all SLAs are met/exceeded
· Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to Program Managers and stakeholders as recalled
· Present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions
· Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs
· Assist the Program Manager in managing the technical risks for the overall program

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
· Certification or 2+ years experience in project management
· Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management
· Knowledge of project management techniques and tools
· Direct work experience in project management capacity
· Experience in risk management a plus
· Experience change management a plus
· Experience working with team members remotely, using phone, email and online collaboration tools
· Experience with in the use of personal computers, word processing and intranet skills are a must
· Experience with working effectively on a cross-functional team with team members throughout many levels of the organization
· Able to work a flexible schedule as business needs require
