Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the leading cloud provider, providing virtual infrastructure, storage, networking, messaging, and many other services to customers all over the world. AWS runs a globally distributed environment, operating at massive levels of scale. Businesses, from start-ups to enterprises, run their operations and applications on AWS's multi-tenant infrastructure. Governmental organizations are also looking to and depending on AWS for cloud solutions and services.

World Wide Public Sector (WWPS) is looking for an exceptional Project Management Associate to join the Federal Delivery Organization's (FDO) Program Execution team. The FDO is responsible for managing the delivery of large prime contracts across the WWPS business. The Program Execution team supports quality assurance, service launches, process improvement, risk and commitment management, and ad-hoc strategic initiatives across the WWPS business.

This position is based in the Herndon, VA/Washington Metro Area (WMA). You will join a cadre of program management and technical business development professionals as we oversee existing US Government contract requirements, milestones, and deliverables and shape future opportunities. As a Project Management Associate, you will spend the majority of your time working with the dozens of internal AWS stakeholders to support successful outcomes for large customer programs.

The role requires the ability to solve complex problems, communicate effectively at multiple organizational levels, a desire to develop strong project and program management skills, a foundational understanding of AWS and cloud-computing concepts, and a passion for delivering results for internal and external customers.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 1+ years' experience using Microsoft Word and Excel to produce project documentation, schedules, briefings, performance models, and contract deliverables.
· This position requires that the candidate selected be a U.S. citizen and obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance.
· Bachelor's degree in Business Administration
