Job description

DESCRIPTION

FBA Support Ops is looking for a developer to build tools on a platform that automates (or eliminates) the manual operational tasks that slow our teams down and keep them from delivering value to their customers. If you like creating applications to solve technically complex problems, working directly with your customers and making hard operational tasks easy, this is the job for you!

Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) is built around Amazon's world class capability in ordering, fulfillment, transportation and Customer service. By leveraging our current scale and supply chain, FBA can provide a low cost alternative for fulfillment and enable third party Sellers to rapidly grow their business. As mentioned by Jeff Bezos in his annual letter to shareholders, FBA is one of the strategic long term opportunities for the company to improve the lives of Sellers and buyers while leveraging our billion dollar logistics infrastructure to generate increasing free cash flow and triple digit return on invested capital. The FBA Support Operations team reviews Sellers' financial and inventory related questions, and ensures they are addressed in accordance with policy. We believe consistency is the foundation to the world class service we provide our Sellers, and Support Operations is at the center of ensuring consistent and fair evaluation of Seller reimbursement requests.

In this role you will work closely with FBA Support Operations team members to discover automation opportunities and implement simple, scalable solutions. You should be able to work directly with your customers and senior engineers to determine requirements and determine the best path for delivering the needed functionality. You should be able to write clear and maintainable documentation and code, and be familiar with both unit testing and front-end testing. You will own the entire suite of tools, from system design to implementation, release, operation, and continuous, iterative improvement. You will use core AWS technologies and leverage existing Amazon business intelligence technologies such as Quicksight. Keys to a successful candidate include an ability to collaborate across large teams, navigating ambiguous situations, and a Customer obsessed focus.

Amazon is an Equal Opportunity-Affirmative Action Employer – Minority / Female / Disability / Veteran / Gender Identity / Sexual Orientation.
