Worksite: Dallas, TX

Position Responsibilities:

Provide technical depth and hands-on implementation of various practices and tools in the DevOps toolchain. Design and code modules for infrastructure, application and processes. Work with enterprise customers locally, regionally and potentially domestically. Deliver projects, technical workshops, and lead implementation projects with customers around the globe. Focus on customer solutions such as, web applications, enterprise applications, high performance computing, batch processing, big data, archiving, disaster recovery, migration, security risk and compliance; collaborate with AWS field sales, pre-sales, training and support teams to help partners and customers learn and use AWS services such as Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3), Amazon SimpleDB/RDS databases, AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM), CloudFormation, Lambda, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, and CodeCommit. Deliver technical engagements and build solutions with limited senior consultant oversight, including participating in pre-sales activities, understanding customer requirements, proposing and delivering repeatable packaged offerings; deliver custom solution engagements with some senior consultant assistance, including remote projects proving the use of AWS services to support new distributed computing solutions that often span private cloud and public cloud services. Engage in the migration of existing applications using AWS cloud services and discover innovative ways to automate and scale customer's cloud adoption. Automate select administration tasks through the creation and maintenance of scripts and tools, while providing DevOps architecture, design and best practice advice and build Proofs of Concept for Amazon.com customers.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Position Requirements:

Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Telecommunications, or a related field and one year of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Employer will also accept a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Telecommunications, or a related field and five years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Must have one year of experience in the following skill(s): Linux or Windows systems administration; and at least one of the following: (1.) database administration in MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MS-SQL, MariaDB, Amazon Redshift, or Amazon Aurora; (2.) working with one of the following NoSQL technologies (DynamoDB, Redis, MongoDB, or Cassandra), and ETL tools in managing data workflow jobs; (3.) Network administration (DNS, TCP/IP, BGP, Load Balancing, software-based IPSEC, SSL-based VPN solutions), and Virtualization (Hypervisors, VMware, or Xen); (4.) working with one of the following programming languages (C++, Java, C#, .NET, Node.js, PHP, Python, or Ruby); or (5.) Chef/Puppet experience or DevOps background and demonstrated knowledge of Git, Perforce, SVN, or TFVC.
