DESCRIPTION

OpsTech IT organization designs, deploys and supports IT infrastructure, devices and Vision Services across Amazon’s Global Fulfillment Centers (FCs), Transportation (Middle Mile, Last Mile & Logistics), and Specialty Customer Solutions (Amazon Fresh, Prime Now, Lockers, Pantry, Campus, and Prime Air). This is a truly global organization with presence in 25 countries, over 2.5K locations and more than 6K employees.

Amazon’s fulfillment landscape is changing, with the expansion into new business models and regions, we are adding more and more diverse site types to Amazon’s fulfillment, transportation and supply chain network – think all the new Amazon Go location, the Prime Air hubs, AMZL delivery stations, etc. To date, from Ops Tech IT perspective, this growth has happened organically, we’re now looking to empower and enable this growth through new product and process innovations.

Ops Tech IT is seeking a seasoned technical product manager to contribute to define new products that can bring a delightful customer experience from reliable hardware, rapid cost effective infrastructure deployment, responsive support, and best in class services. In this role, you will have end-to-end ownership of the business strategy and great influence on the product development roadmap. You will be expected to create the long-term product vision, influence partner teams towards your vision, determine and build business metrics to support prioritize and coordinate execution towards the vision. You should be comfortable engaging with all types of customers ranging from executives to developers. You should be comfortable working in a ever-growing environment where delivery time for new products and features is typically measured in months.

We are looking for strong business owners who can Dive Deep, Think Big and is comfortable coordinating and sharing a vision with Amazon's senior leadership.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· MBA or Master’s Degree in a related field.
· Excellent customer experience intuition. You obsess about customers and have the demonstrated ability to translate customer needs into crisp, detailed product requirements.
· Relentless bias for action. One of your favorite things to do as a product manager to launch, learn and iterate. You know what matters most to customers and can simplify product requirements to deliver benefits to customers as quickly as possible.
· Proven ability to make smart features (customer experience) versus time-to-market trade-offs. You have experience using data and metrics to back up assumptions and assertions of business value.
· Proven ability to understand and solve complex business problems, leveraging your solid pragmatical skills and ability to dive deep, to create effective strategies.
· Excellent communication skills, particularly written skills. You are as comfortable speaking in front of the company at an all-hands meeting as you are writing a detailed six-page narrative on your products that you can defend with the highest levels of senior leadership.
· Basic technical fluency. You understand how your products get built and can use that knowledge to work with your engineering partners to make smart decisions.
· Solid collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work across functions and influence senior leaders. You quickly earn the trust of people you work with. People enjoy and have fun working with you.
· Sense of humor. You work hard on behalf of customers, but don’t take yourself too seriously.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's Degree in finance/management/supply chain/economics/industrial engineering or related field
· 1+ years of experience in product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology
· Experience with end to end product delivery
· Experience overseeing roadmap strategy and definition
· Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
· Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
