Business Intelligence Engineer

DESCRIPTION

The Worldwide Pricing team builds products and services that help Sellers offer prices that delight our Customers. Our programs support billions of price updates every month, covering the majority of products sold in the Amazon store. We do this with real-time, low latency, worldwide systems. We constantly work to innovate and improve our programs, software, and tools to deliver a fantastic experience for our Selling Partners and the best possible prices for our Customers.

In this role you will identify and drive projects to increase Amazon’s understanding and influence of pricing. We will look to you to segment our customers to provide insights that inform marketing campaigns designed to increase Seller adoption of the tools we build. You will develop business reporting to baseline performance and use statistical models to deepen our insights on how our tools lead to better prices for Amazon's Customers.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, who has a passion for working on ambiguous problems, and a demonstrated ability to have fun.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· An advanced technical or business degree (MS or MBA)
· 8+ years of relevant experience in a business analyst, data analyst, or statistical analysis role
· Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex data issues correctly and clearly to both internal and external customers.
· Understanding of and proficiency in data engineering concepts

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics or related field
· Data proficiency and a mastery of SQL and Excel
· Strong expertise of Tableau and other visualization tools
· 5+ years of experience in a business analyst/data analyst/statistical analyst role
· Excellent communication, both verbal and written
