Would you like to to help define how customers set up their AWS environments with governance and compliance while enabling them to quickly deploy and manage services and solutions to their teams? Would you like to be part of a cross-functional team focused on increasing technology adoption of cloud services by engaging directly with technical leaders across the enterprise companies? Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Worldwide Enterprise Greenfield Solutions Architect to work with our customers building solutions and helping to shape the strategy for early-stage Enterprises.

At AWS we are building a cross-functional team of global technical leaders passionate about growing technology adoption of cloud computing by engaging directly with technical leaders, C-level executives and influencers at all levels across the industry. We are seeking individuals with the business background, technical depth, executive experience and communication skills needed to tackle the complex challenges our early-stage enterprise customers face as they make the journey to the cloud. We're hiring highly passionate experts in Cloud computing to work with our Solutions Architects and Business Development teams on key customer and partner engagements.

The ideal candidate will possess a technical background that enables them to drive an engagement and interact with our Enterprise customers, as well as having the presence to easily communicate the benefits of cloud to application architects, enterprise architects, platform architects, infrastructure architects and engineers, and enterprise security and compliance teams. The ideal candidate will also have a demonstrated ability to think big and be deeply familiar with complex, legacy IT environments including applications, middleware, storage, networks, information security, and operations.

Roles & Responsibilities:
· Understand the use cases for the early-stage enterprise customers and develop assets and best practices around foundational capabilities (i.e., Landing Zones, Directory integration, AWS Account Strategy), cloud-based solutions, technical assets, and incubation programs. This includes identifying needed third party solutions and developing corresponding references.
· Develop expertise in the broader technical community (SAs, Professional Services consultants, Technical Account Managers, etc.) on the use cases, foundational capabilities, solutions and programs developed to support the early-stage enterprise segment. Work with the Training and Sales Enablement teams to help create the necessary technical skills and knowledge within the community.
· The right person will be highly technical and analytical, and will be capable of understanding the complexities of large enterprise IT environments.
· Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as leadership skills.
· Must have a demonstrated ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations, with customers, SIs and ISVs.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Technical degree highly desired; or equivalent background.
· Enterprise solutions selling experience is desired.
· Ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations, with customers, SIs and ISVs.
· Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as leadership skills.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 7+ years of experience in senior technical positions within the enterprise segment.
· Practical experience in establishing foundational capabilities on AWS (example Landing Zone, Directory integration, AWS Account Strategy).
· Technical knowledge of enterprise IT including: application development, database systems, tiered storage architectures, server and desktop virtualization, data center operations, network security, etc. with ability to go deep on technical aspects to understand current and future customer needs and present modern application architectures and development and operations methods and AWS technical benefits.
· Technical knowledge of enterprise applications, platforms, and data ecosystem, with ability to go deep on technical aspects to understand current and future customer needs and present AWS technical benefits.
