Alexa is literally shaping the future of voice recognition and cloud-based content/services. Alexa is fueled by Natural Language Understanding deep learning engine that answers questions, plays music, reads the news and more—instantly. The MLpS organization focuses on providing technology and services to Alexa engineers and scientists to build and improve ML models and continue evolve Alexa experience for Amazon customers.

As an MLpS Solutions Architect (SA) you will be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) helping Alexa scientists to generate ground-truth data necessary for ML model creation and drive the future of AI evolution. You will draft solution proposals, design data-labeling applications, provide consultation for delivering custom solutions in a fast-paced environment. You will be a bidirectional advocate between our customers and the service/platform delivery teams, influencing their roadmaps and driving innovation. This position involves regular communication with senior leadership on proposals, project status and risks. Candidates must have great communication and technical skills and comfortable working with Alexa Domain customers at any level, from executive to developer.

Roles & Responsibilities:

· Work with customers to understand their business and technical needs, lead architectural discussions to design solutions for successful deployment with the optimized use of the Alexa ML platform and services.
· Act as a technical liaison between customers and MLpS engineering teams to provide customer driven product improvement feedback and accelerate solution delivery and adoption.
· Create best-in-class technical documentation, templates, and reference tools that help accelerate the solution design & delivery
· Verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations and virtual teams.
· Evangelize and educate customers of all sizes on the MLpS value propositions and services through forums such as lunch and learn sessions, blogs, whitepapers.
· Recognize, adopt and utilize best practices in Information Security and Data Privacy throughout solution delivery.
· Work closely with senior solutions architects internationally to build best practices, tools, and systems that impact and scale businesses.
· Interact with other SAs, providing guidance on their customer engagements and building an internal community of subject matter experts.
· Position requires travel 25% of the time.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor degree in in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math, Electrical Engineering, etc.
· 10+ years professional experience in software development in languages like C++, Java, Python, JavaScript
· 6+ years of experience in technical consulting or technical program management building solutions
· Experience in SQL or Non-SQL database systems
· Experience driving the entire product lifecycle: solution proposal, requirements definition, design, development, launch and adoption.
