Amazon Lab126 is an inventive research and development company that designs and engineers high-profile consumer electronics. Lab126 began in 2004 as a subsidiary of Amazon.com, Inc., originally creating the best-selling Kindle family of products. Since then, we have produced groundbreaking devices like Fire tablets, Fire TV and Amazon Echo. What will you help us create?

The Amazon Device team is looking for a technically savvy and seasoned Principal Solutions Architect. You will work with cross functional teams to develop a strategy for world class solutions that enable innovative consumer products. This Principal Solutions Architect will become a devices hardware and firmware technology subject matter expert and be our representative working with senior executives and engineers to communicate our vision. In this role, you will foster a culture of continuous improvement by being a voice of the customer, provide training to the cross functional teams, and develop metrics to track the overall health of the technology roadmap.

Desired profile


Basic qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science
· 5+ years of technology integration experience in a technical role
· 5+ years of experience evangelizing technologies and building/maintaining product team or engineering relations
· 5+ years of experience implementing/consulting/evangelizing technologies

Preferred qualifications
· Experience developing and launching platforms for consumer electronics
· Demonstrated effectiveness working across multiple business units to achieve results
· Proven ability to build and maintain executive level relationships
· Track record for being detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate and follow-through on projects
· Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, innovative, and rapidly evolving industry and business organization
· Strong problem-solving skills; the ability to analyze problems and develop actionable and dedicated plans quickly
· Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences at the executive level
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Exceptional interpersonal and relationship management skills
