Job summary
Seeking a Principal, Product Marketer for our game-changing, home-grown learning system. This individual must be an independent thinker and worker, with excellent judgment and a strategic mindset. Both a planner and an executor, this individual will get a wide-berth in crafting our brand strategy, customer segmentation, marketing materials and sales support, product briefs, customer case studies, and driving customer acquisition and lead generation. As we look into new opportunities within Amazon and externally, this individual will play a key role in selecting, defining, and driving success.

Use your dynamic skill set to expand our learning programs reach and adoption, and partner with an unparalleled team of learning scientists and experts in the learning field. This is a unique opportunity to play a key leadership role in an exciting, fast growing business.

This individual will be an individual contributor and must be:

· comfort with and knowledge of technology and the cloud, including basic knowledge of machine learning

Key job responsibilities
· Develop and execute overall brand strategy, including naming conventions, value proposition, positioning, customer definition, and brand personality and voice
· Deep dive into customer segmentation
· Analysis and recommendations around new opportunities and customer segments
· Creation and execution of marketing strategy, including messaging, lead generation, acquisition, retention, and referral
· Define program messaging and public relations strategy (as appropriate)
· Creation of "sales kit," including overhaul of online presence, powerpoint presentations, relevant one pagers on key product elements or customer use cases, whitepapers (in conjunction with relevant product teams), and talking points
· Creation of customer reference stories and cultivation of brand advocates
· Creation of internal messaging efforts, for distribution across team, across Amazon, and to senior executives
· Creation of strategic documents

A day in the life
Our customers are Amazon organizations that need to develop employee capabilities rapidly to meet and exceed their customers' expectations. In the face of a global skill gap and the lightning-fast change of technology and customer requirements, we need to grow the knowledge and capabilities of new Amazonians, experienced technologists, cloud sellers, and operations employees leveraging new processes or robotics. Current learning systems and LMSs are inadequate to address and measure learner growth, while ours delivers measurable capability development. This role will create the bridge between customers and our game-changing learning system, concurrently winning over senior-level evangelists and learning providers.

About the team
Our organization leads Global Learning and Development for Amazon, and our broader team includes Amazon's leading learning scientists, unparalleled knowledge of the education and learning industries, and deep expertise in machine learning and product development. This position reports into the Director, Business Development, Learning Systems, and his team runs business development, customer account management, and brand and marketing. Team members are missionaries for learners and learner / business outcomes and passionate about the opportunity to innovate on behalf of the learner. · Corporate learning experience
· Education and/or learning industry experience
· Proven experience finding creative ways to do more with less, and a track record staying on budget
· Track record of achievement, growth, and/or promotion within roles
· Accomplished range of skills from strategic thinking to creative and detailed execution
· Strong written communication skills and presentation ability
· Powerful collaborator
· Demonstrated ability to work independently

Desired profile


· 10+ years of relevant work experience in marketing
· 3+ years experience in technology industry and/or serving technology companies
· Experience and proven success in B2B marketing
· Experience working with industry tools and marketing automation platforms
