DESCRIPTION

Do you love building relationships over good food? Are you passionate about Amazon and the future of healthy and delicious food? The Amazon fresh food team is looking for a senior leader with operational and deep analytical skills to lead a new initiative for the fresh grab-and-go and meal kit products that we manufacture. This leader will be responsible for pairing their expertise in fresh food assembly/manufacturing, facility design and management including tech infrastructure, vendor management, labor planning, short shelf life supply chain, and finance with our business model to deliver delicious products to our quality and safety specifications at the right cost.

The ideal candidate will possess a background and interest in great food, the ability to think big and build a flexible, nimble, and sustainable supply chain vision for our business, work well in a highly ambiguous environment, and previous experience operating in highly collaborative leadership roles. A clear track record of operational leadership, food manufacturing, labor planning, facility IT management, real estate, account management, supply chain finance, and team leadership are essential.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree in related field
· Direct engagement experience with fresh food manufacturers
· Direct experience with food facility design
· 10+ years of experience in developing long-term relationships with stakeholders that have resulted in high customer satisfaction
· Demonstrated success in operating businesses with high levels of safety, quality, and cost control with an emphasis on continuous improvement
· Knowledge of food manufacturing, supply chain management, and regulatory requirements
· Strong ownership and history of delivering results in highly ambiguous environments
· Advanced ability to draw insights from data and clearly communicate them (verbal/written) to the stakeholders and senior management as required.
· Ability to deliver on ambiguous projects with incomplete or dirty data.
· Ability and interest in working in a fast-paced and rapidly-changing environment
· Experience reducing cycle time and improving labor efficiency
· Ability to travel up to 25%
