DESCRIPTION

If so, this role could be for you! As a Business Development leader on our team, you will be responsible for finding and developing strategic relationships to support Amazon's vehicle needs. Specifically you will a) build and own Fleet Management Company (FMC) relationships and b) develop and lead the associated fleet financing strategy and structure. You will own relationships with large banking institutions and work across internal teams ranging from Treasury, Legal, Tax, Accounting, Risk, Tech and Ops. You will be expected to engage with senior leaders, both externally and internally. You will run a large program that cuts across categories and teams within Amazon. You will also need to Think Big and carry a long-term vision for the growth our fleet and the capabilities that we need to deliver a best in class customer experience.

To be successful you must be able to lead negotiations and manage programs with rapid growth at significant scale. This is a role best suited for candidates interested in strategic high impact work.

Some of the key job functions of this role are:
· Leads and controls the negotiation and procurement of the assigned product. Possesses a broad operations and technical background, and has the ability to “roll up their sleeves” and jump in and drive resolution.

· Is capable of taking accountability and driving planning, resolution and execution.
·
· Responsible for delivering the key metrics – program performance, program growth, on-time execution and launches
·
· Experience working on negotiations with senior executives
·
· Strong presentation, sales, and negotiation skills; ability to close high value and high profile deals
·
· Strong ownership and bias for action; ability to internalize goals and work independently to create appropriate action plans for those goals
·
· Strong analytical orientation; comfort using databases and analytical tools and making data-based decisions

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Passion and knowledge for the logistics or transportation domain
· Experience working across legal, finance, tax, accounting topics
· Existing professional relationships with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), fleet management companies (FMCs), and large banking institutions

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 8+ years of business development, corp dev, strategy consulting or finance experience
· A solid track record in a partner facing role with a demonstrated ability to maintain strong cross-functional relationships and a customer focus
· Experience with business modeling for logistics and/or transportation
· Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
