Job description

DESCRIPTION

Amazon Web Service's real-time protocol team is developing state of the art, low-latency streaming protocols that let developers stream a variety of content without delays caused by typical buffered video streaming. Content is rendered and encoded on the AWS infrastructure and streamed to any device, such as personal computers, tablets, and mobile phones.

We consider this position to be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to shape the future of real-time interaction with video on the internet. We're looking for a thought leaders who can take on the challenges of steaming in high latency or high contention scenarios and keep the fidelity of what is being streamed. To create, adapt, and tune algorithms to enhance the customer's experience. To work with experienced engineers delivering this vision. To lead the charge with cutting edge research to address the unique and nuanced problems in our space, especially the most ambiguous ones with long term 2-5 year success timeframes. To develop and give vision to this newly forming science team.
