We're looking for an outstanding Industrial Engineer who combines superb technical and analytical capabilities with a demonstrated ability to get the right things done quickly and effectively. Export License Control: This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Placement is contingent on Amazon's ability to apply for and obtain an export control license on your behalf.

The Role:
As an Industrial Engineer at Amazon Prime Air, you will be at the forefront enabling Amazon's future delivery system. You will define, analyze and optimize business, manufacturing and material-handling processes, translate them into implementations plans, and drive them completion. You will establish metrics that help identify production inefficiencies to enable continuous improvement activities. You are a learner and doer at heart, who continuously engages across business, technical and operational teams to achieve amazing outcomes.

Summary of Responsibilities:
· Become an Amazon Prime Air product and manufacturing expert
· Define, improve and scale up Amazon Prime Air manufacturing processes
· Apply industrial engineering techniques and concepts to product and process design teams throughout all phases of product life cycle
· Analyze data and leverage metrics to identify, recommend, and implement cost cutting projects to simplify processes and reduce inventory, labor, and materials costs
· Implement instrumentation to monitor production processes to obtain accurate data for capacity and quoting activities, conducts time studies when necessary
· Develop and maintain metrics and reporting on operational performance for organization
· Contribute to the design of technology, products, blueprints and mathematical models
· Provide on-site support for project implementations
· Tracks and communicates project performance on qualitative and quantitative measures

Desired profile



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelors in Industrial, Manufacturing, Process Engineering or equivalent technical education or equivalent field of study preferred
· 4+ years of professional experience in a similar role
· Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing, scheduling, lean, six sigma, and quality methods
· Skilled in utilizing Microsoft office (e.g. Excel, Visio…), drawing/modeling applications (e.g. AutoCAD, CATIA, ENOVIA…), simulation applications (e.g. FlexSIM, Arena…) and data visualization and analytical applications (e.g. Tableau, Minitab, R, MySQL…)
· Strong verbal/written communication, can effectively communicate with business, technical and operational teams
· High organizational skills in managing multiple projects simultaneously
· Ability to travel 15% globally to interact with internal and external business and technical leaders
