Pathways Operations Manager
Doncaster (South Yorkshire) Logistics
Job description
DESCRIPTION
Pathways Leadership Development Programme (m/f)
Amazon recruits top talents into the Pathways Leadership Development Programme to prepare the programme members to take on a leadership position within WW Operations/Customer Fulfilment and Customer Service.
Do you want your career to have impact, on a global scale?
Are you excited about finding solutions for complex challenges?
Would you be up for the challenge of leading big teams?
Is it your goal to fast-track your career and become a leader in a Fortune 100 company?
Are you studying towards a top Masters, MBA, PhD, or have you recently graduated?
Perfect. Let's talk.
What is this programme about?
It's a carefully planned series of progressive steps through Customer Fulfilment & Operations: one that will guide you through this fundamental base of Amazon's global business. As a sequence of increasingly challenging opportunities, it will mean quickly learning how to manage people, processes and technology, in Earth's most customer-centric company.
That's not all, either: depending your performance and results, the pace of this programme is closely mirrored by your upward trajectory. Think of it as a fast-track to leadership, one that can pave the way for all Pathway candidates to excel in senior positions. But it's also a hands-on pathway; one that will give your quick thinking and leadership capabilities a suitable workout over its three year period. And it'll be more than worth it.
What does it involve?
You'll begin in an assigned area of responsibility within a busy Fulfilment Centre or Delivery Station: this will be where you cut your teeth and learn the ropes. After 6-12 months of becoming fluent in in this role, you'll progress into a more strategic role as an Operations Manager. After a further 12-18 months of success, you then graduate from the programme. You will then operate as a Senior Manager at Operations, with plenty of scope and room for you to progress even further.
Throughout the three years, you'll receive plenty of mentoring, alongside regular meetings with the General Manager of your Fulfilment Centre or Delivery Station. You'll even get to enjoy annual gatherings with other Pathways candidates to discuss projects, exchange ideas, and reflect on your experience as a whole.
And the result? You'll have a hand in building the future. Whether that's in drone-powered ecommerce, in revolutionizing the grocery market with AmazonFresh, or pushing down delivery times with Prime Now, it's all up to you.
