You will be supporting and working in close partnership with our partner development management team and other functions to help our partners realise their potential.

As a Partner Solutions Architect focused on Telecommunications Partner(s) within Amazon Web Services (AWS), you will
apply your creative and technical skills to understand the challenges and opportunities our partners (and their customers) in this sector are working on and build Cloud based architectures that allow them to run their most challenging workloads in the AWS Cloud. You will have the opportunity to continuously learn as the breadth of products and services evolves, and to be at the cutting edge of the industry in terms of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Serverless and Container driven architectures, Analytics and Big Data, DevOps, and Security. You will help large organizations transform into contemporary, agile businesses, and you will see start-ups grow and thrive.

A background in working with systems integrators and/or enterprise architecture for distributed software solutions (especially if you have experience with cloud solutions) is relevant, and you should have the ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges. In this technical role, you will architect enterprise-grade Amazon Web Services solutions, own the technical relationship and deliverables with large partner(s), develop and execute multi-day workshops, lead white boarding sessions, author white papers and blog posts, and respond to complex technical inquiries.

The ideal candidate will possess deep technical skill in software architecture, information security, compliance initiatives, software deployment and cloud computing as well as customer facing skills at all levels of a partner organization. The ideal candidate should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges. The ideal candidate is also an influencer by nature and must be seen as someone that partners are eager to engage with and have a strong hands-on approach.

The ideal candidate will need to demonstrate:

· Deep technical skill in software architectures and cloud computing
· Customer facing skills ideally gained within a partner organization and have demonstrated the ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· A Masters Degree in computer science, MIS, engineering or equivalent technical degree
· AWS Solution Architect Certificates; Associates, Developer, Professional.
· Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (e.g. AWS Lambda, AWS API Gateway, Amazon ECS, Amazon DynamoDB, AWS CodeStar, AWS CodePipeline, AWS CodeCommit, AWS CodeBuild, AWS CodeDeploy, Amazon Elasticsearch service, Amazon Kinesis, Amazon CloudFront etc.)
· Knowledge of multiple, modern development languages such as Ruby, Python and Node.js
· Understanding of Machine Learning and Deep Learning concepts and technology
· Experience in a customer-facing roles such as consultant, solutions engineer or solutions architect

Desired profile



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· The right person will possess significant hands on implementation or consulting experience and demonstrate a strong knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
· A successful candidate will have spent several years of their career in customer facing roles and a proven record of effective collaborations across multiple internal organizations and interactions with partner and customers.
· Experience working with end user or developer communities.
· Experience supporting partners and programs.
· Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must. Past experience writing and publishing technical content, such-as whitepapers, is highly desirable.
· High level of comfort communicating effectively across internal and external organizations
· Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with CTOs, enterprise architects, IT management, and developers
· Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly
· Experience working with AWS technologies is highly desired but not required
· AWS Certification, eg. AWS Solutions Architect Associate, is highly desired but not required
· BA/BS degree, or equivalent work experience, is required; Computer Science, Math or Technical background highly desired; Advanced Degree a plus
· Fluency in English is essential
· Travel may be required, typically up to around 25% of your time
