DESCRIPTION

Amazon is seeking an experienced Trademark Paralegal to support our ever-expanding trademark and domain name portfolios. This role will be responsible for developing filing strategies, budget management and IP activity forecasting, docket supervision, project management, and acting as a liaison between finance, legal management, and outside counsel. Ideal candidates must be passionate about brands and IP protection, experienced in project management, have an in-depth understanding of forecasting trademark portfolio activities, and possess the ability to adapt to current and future responsibilities, as well as the willingness to expand responsibilities as needed.

Responsibilities will include:
· Forecasting trademark portfolio activities based on current and past trends
· Auditing of portfolio to ensure accuracy of records
· Active management of docketing processes
· Management of trademark and domain name team’s finances

Successful candidates must be able to pursue projects to completion with minimum input or direction, take initiative in creating and improving work processes, and work effectively on a variety of simultaneously active

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree and/or Paralegal certificate is preferred
· Experience with Anaqua, Corsearch, Serengeti or similar systems
· Creativity, attention to detail, commitment to customer service, and excellent communication and writing skills
· A sense of humor and a passion for technology and innovation

Desired profile



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 3+ years of experience as a Trademark Paralegal in a law firm or corporate setting
· Experience with program/project management, operations, finance or a complex administrative role
· Skilled with trademark portfolio management (prosecution, maintenance, and renewals)
· Strong data analysis and problem solving skills
· Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and SharePoint
· Must understand trademark budgeting and have a passion for numbers
· Desire and aptitude to learn new concepts, programs, and software on the job
