We are looking for an outstanding and experienced legal professional for our legal department in Munich to help manage our German and European litigation portfolio. In this role, you will work closely with our legal and business stakeholders to help defending Amazon's various businesses. This is an exciting role in which you will be responsible for the handling of legal disputes with respect to a wide variety of regulatory, intellectual property, and business risk management issues. This position requires great judgment and legal skills, the ability to find pragmatic solutions in an ambiguous environment, as well as strong written and verbal communication skills. We are looking for candidates who are innovative, progressive, hands-on, and customer-obsessed professionals and with a good commercial understanding. The position will be located in Munich.

Responsibilities include:
· Management of legal disputes and regulatory challenges on European level
· Day-to-day interaction with business clients and business lawyers
· Outside counsel management
· Coordination of research and preparation in litigation matters

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· .Degree in law
· At least 3 years post-qualification legal experience with some international law firm or in-house experience
· Strong commercial background and understanding
· High degree of independence, initiative and decisiveness but also desire to be challenged and think outside the box
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
· Practical business judgment and ability to qualify actual practical risk
· Ability to prioritize and deliver projects in time in a fast-moving environment
· Excellent English and German language skills including legal terminology
