Amazon Logistics (AMZL) is seeking a Operations Engineer. The Operations Engineer for Amazon Logistics Global Fleet and Product (GFP) team will support the system design for the fleet of Amazon Electric Vehicle’s (EV) charging infrastructure. The Operations Engineer will help the team focus on introducing scalable design solutions, integrating new technology and ensuring adaptability of future technology. This team is comprised of energy leaders, and partners with internal and external teams in engineering, design and construction, utility management, safety, and operations.

Responsibilities:
· Develop and iterate designs for electric vehicle charging systems at scale
· Build partnerships with internal and external organizations to develop next-generation engineering solutions
· Simultaneously manage projects and tasks while effectively influencing, negotiating, and communicating with internal and external business partners, contractors and vendors
· Solve technical problems with simple, innovative, and practical solutions
· Work with stakeholders to define program scope, assign responsibilities, identify appropriate resources needed, and develop milestones to ensure timely completion of programs
· Work effectively with senior leadership across multiple organizations and geographies
· Develop design standards and work processes

**Travel expectations will be approximately 20% globally to interact with internal and external business and technical leaders

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
· 2+ years of experience in an engineering role in transportation, supply chain, logistics, or energy
· 2+ years of experience working cross-functionally, building trust with key stakeholders on solutions
· 1+ years of experience in facility or site design

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Master’s Degree in engineering, operations, business, or related field
· Experience in design, construction, architecture, electrical or civil engineering
· Knowledge of electrical system design
· Knowledge to identify, analyze, and solve problems
· Experience to make business decisions using relevant data and insights
· Experience with sustainability programs and initiatives
· Written and verbal communication skills
· Experience with design iterations, at scale, considering inputs of key stakeholders
· Knowledge to use design software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
· Experience to display technical leadership
