DESCRIPTION

The Customer Service Routing and Telephony team is looking to hire highly motivated, Network Engineers for Customer Service Tech team to build and scale networks for the world's largest customer service network. You will own and evolve networks that connect our Associates with Customers world-wide, ensuring we deliver the highest quality and reliable VoIP contact experience for world-class Customer Service.

The Routing and Telephony team is primarily responsible for evolving and scaling Amazon's Customer Service networks. It is our responsibility to maintain quality and reliability of the network while developing innovative ways to scale data volume and global reach. This team plays a key role in responding to operational changes in the network, determining root cause, and working with internal teams to deliver best in class connectivity.

Our ideal candidate will have experience in VoIP and Networking arena with knowledge in contact centers, database integration and routing. You will help your team identify patterns that affect the performance, reliability, scalability or availability of a process, product or service. In this role, you will actively participate in design reviews, operational reviews, architecture discussions, team planning and ticket/metric reviews. The desire and ability to work in an operational, fast paced, collaborative environment is essential.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Working knowledge of telephony protocols (SIP, WebRTC)
· Experience troubleshooting carrier and various connectivity issues both IP and TDM
· Expertise in many of the following technologies and protocols: BGP, OSPF, SIP, RTP, IP, TCP, UDP, DNS, DHCP, T1/E1, Ethernet, firewalls, IT security best practices
· Experience designing, building and or maintaining QoS enabled LAN and WAN networks
· Focus on operational excellence, constructively identifying problems and proposing solutions
· Experience analyzing, troubleshooting, and providing solutions for technical issues
· Curious about scripting and basic coding – with the willingness to learn
