We are inventing the future for consumer products and are seeking a talented Android or iOS Software Developer to own our app experience, adding new features, innovations and design improvements. This is an early stage initiative with a fast paced, highly collaborative start up like environment inside Amazon. To be successful you need to be flexible and entrepreneurial. You are a true owner - you are passionate about the business and drive relentlessly to optimize and improve our business processes, remove bottlenecks and friction, and allow the business to move at a fast pace. You collaborate with UX designers, product managers, technical program managers, and partner teams. You are comfortable with a degree of ambiguity and willing to develop quick proof of concepts, iterate and improve. You create extendable design and easy to maintain solutions with the long term vision in mind.

Responsibilities include:

• Work closely with product and user experience teams to deliver new and robust user experiences to Android or iOS phones
• Implement native applications that are functional, beautiful, and a pleasure to use
• Propose, prototype, and evaluate areas of optimization

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience: 1+ years of industry experience
· Education: BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent
· Professional experience with mobile development in Android or iOS
· Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms,
· Experience designing for performance, scalability, and availability
· Excellent object oriented analysis and design skills (OOA/OOD)
· Strong problem solving skills; adaptable, proactive and willing to take ownership
· A high-quality bar; just-enough documentation, unit testing, code reviews, test automation, continuous integration & deployment
· Great communication skills - ability to think creatively and adapt the message to the audience
· User-centric focus
