Team Exposure/Scope:

This role partners regularly with a broad range of finance and business leaders across the Physical Stores and Grocery organizations, often at some of the most senior levels within the company.

Success in this Role:

As the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager for NA Amazon Fresh Grocery, you will oversee planning, reporting, and finance tools/infrastructure development for the business. You will play a central role in informing Physical Stores executive leadership about the business’ performance. You will define and lead the planning process for the business, partnering with business and finance stakeholders across the team. In addition to business planning responsibilities, you will shape the reporting, financial hierarchy, tools and automation needed to run a fast-growing omni channel business. You will do all this while providing best in class controllership, and driving process and productivity improvements for the business and finance organizations.
Everyone on the team needs to be entrepreneurial, wear many hats, and work in a highly collaborative environment that’s more start-up than big company. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are critical in this role. The successful candidate has demonstrated that they are a self-starter, collaborate effectively and influence business partners, think long-term, and can support thoughtful decision-making in a rapidly-evolving and ambiguous environment.

Key job responsibilities
• Oversee the business’ planning and month-end close processes, communicating clear deadlines and expectations with finance and business partners, and serving as the single point of contact for WW Grocery and Physical Stores FP&A.
• Own current-year and long-range financial models used to plan the business. Coordinate with Commercial and Operations business and finance leaders to understand, validate, and incorporate input drivers into Sales, Vendor Margin, and Contribution Margin forecast.
• Help the leadership team manage the business’ performance by analyzing trends, running scenario plans and sensitivities, and identify risks and opportunities.
• Drive the design, development and implementation of tools and reporting that will provide stakeholders with access to unstructured and relational data.
• Architect, build, and automate the financial infrastructure and tools necessary to manage the business at the channel, fulfillment center, and store P&L level.
• Develop and drive roadmap of tools and process improvements for the Fresh finance team to automate manual work.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 8+ years of finance experience or a related analytical field.
BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science)

7+ years of finance experience, or Master’s degree and 5+ years of finance experience

3+ years of direct management experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred Qualifications:

• BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science) or equivalent.
• Highly analytical, detail oriented with advanced financial modelling and reporting skills
• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, Tableau, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
• MBA and/or Professional certifications (CPA/CMA/Qualified Accounting certificate)
• Demonstrated financial acumen and/or analytical experience including familiarity with concepts of forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and data interpretation.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills
• Strong presentation skills and the ability to guide and influence senior leadership
