Job summary
Play a leading role in operational risk improvement at Amazon.com, where we have a tradition of leading the world in innovative technologies and services. Amazon is seeking an experienced logistics / auto Risk Analyst who, as part of a team, will manage low to mid severity bodily injury claims for Amazon’s delivery fleet. Within the Global Risk Management & Claims team, you will support and report to a Risk Manager focusing on low to mid severity logistics claims management and third party administrator (TPA) programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Claims management of low to mid severity claims.
· Ensure that the TPA manages the claims diligently, partners with Risk Management and Legal (internal and external), and employs best practices to control claim costs.
· Participate in claim reviews on a bi-weekly basis to ensure alignment with key performance indicators.
· Report out on claims metrics to internal business teams, including logistics.
· Participate in projects that move the program forward.
· Partner with external vendors and partners on innovative claims handling and initiatives that support simplicity and contain costs while enhancing the customer experience.
· Effectively communicate recommended risk mitigation strategies to cross-functional and internal leadership teams.
· Support internal audits of claim files and report results.
· Develop solutions for improved claim processes and drive change through project implementation and execution.
· Utilize metrics and benchmarking to evaluate trends and make recommendations for process improvements and/or performance management.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· ARM, AIC, CPCU, or similar designation.
· Subject matter expert in commercial auto insurance policies.
· Ability to balance competing priorities while handling each with a sense of urgency.
· Robust interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to professionally communicate, both verbally and in written format, with the auto team, legal, and external partners, recognizing and appropriately responding to others’ perspectives.
Available for domestic and international travel up to 25% of the time.
· Eagerness to learn, develop, and expand skillset.
· Ability to earn trust and build credibility with key internal and external business partners.
· Demonstrated ability to work well independently and as part of a team.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· BA/BS degree from an accredited university.
· 3+ years' experience handling low to mid complexity auto claims.
