Revenues generated from advertising allow us to decrease costs for our customers: save $20 when you buy a Kindle with ads customized for you. It's a win for our customers, a win for our advertisers and a win for Amazon. Amazon is investing heavily in building a world class advertising business and we are responsible for defining and delivering a collection of self-service performance advertising products that drive discovery and sales.

Over the years, Amazon has invested heavily in removing geographic barriers for its suppliers and helped them sell regionally or in some cases even globally. We intend to do the same for advertisers. Our mission is to build a world class Ads Localization program that removes language related barriers from advertising and help suppliers reach a global audience at scale. This will be one of a kind localization program that will use best in class machine translation technology and combine it with intelligence from human translators to deliver highest quality marketing translations. As localization support manager on this team, you will be responsible for day-to-day management of localization projects with a focus on video localization. You will work with vendors and customers to streamline and improve processes for scaling in this growing organization.

Responsibilities
· Manage video localization and standard localization projects end-to-end, working closely with language specialists, internal business partners, external vendors and other departments
· Develop customer-based project plans and workflows; manage time, budget, resources and quality control
· Monitor external vendor quality and investigate quality variation, ensuring best in class marketing content
· Set up projects in proprietary CAT tool, resolve CAT-tool related client and vendor issues and address knowledge gaps
· Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to resolve questions or conflicts related to terminology, language quality and workflow
· Identify, communicate, and proactively mitigate project risks
· Write, edit, review and maintain localization process documents
· Maintain Amazon Advertising brand and product localization standards

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, English, Communications, or a related field
· CAT tool knowledge
· Fluency in an additional language

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
· 3+ years of localization / operations experience
· Experience with video localization
· Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements
· Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data
· Attention to detail
· Excellent organization skills, and ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities
· Strong problem solving, issue-resolution, ability to work in a deadline-driven work environment, attention to detail, and ability to work on different projects simultaneously
