ROLE DESCRIPTION

The AWS Premium Support team is seeking experienced and seasoned Linux and Systems Engineers that enjoy solving problems, working with customers, and that have a strong technical background in Linux, networking, troubleshooting, OS, web applications and more. Our Engineers are the “voice of the customer” and have a strong hands-on relationship with the development & architecture teams for recurring issues or complex feature requests.

Every day will bring new and exciting challenges on the job while you help customers deliver enterprise applications in the Cloud and will represent AWS as you interact directly with our developer community to resolve support issues. · Apply advanced techniques to provide unique solutions to our customers' individual needs.
· Leverage your customer support experience to provide feedback to internal AWS teams on how to improve our services.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

To qualify for this role you should have experience with:
· Solid Experience as a /Unix Systems engineer /Administrator
· Fluent in DNS, DHCP, TCP/UDP, IP addressing.
· skills at many levels of complexity.
· Virtualization and/or cloud computing experience.
· Good understanding of security best practices.
· Impeccable communication skills to successfully engage with customers.
· Ability to work a staggered week, either Sun-Thu or Tue-Sat (no on-call)
