Amazon has an immediate opening for an IT Support Engineer for our Amazon corporate office in [Insert Location]. The IT Support Engineer is the face of IT for our customers. We are looking for individuals with a proven history of providing excellent customer service and IT support in a corporate environment with limited supervision. We provide technical support in person and via remote channels such as chat, for Windows, Macintosh, and Linux systems as well as MS-Office applications.

In addition to supporting personal computer operating systems and applications, your typical day may include: LAN and WIFI troubleshooting and maintenance, AV/VC support and room sets, PC hardware repair, and administration of local file and application servers. The ideal IT Support Engineer can document technical issues and standard operating procedures and provide leadership for junior technicians. You may be asked to guide vendors or contractors and will have the opportunity to manage small IT projects with a departmental or regional scope. Your duties may require on-call support for a week or more at a time.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of network administration * Working understanding of Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange. * Understanding of the basic concepts of Computer and Information Systems security * Experience providing IT support in a medium to large sized company * A demonstrated willingness to learn and apply new technology. * Certifications in Information Technology are a plus Amazon is an equal opportunities employer. The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications in their past experience: Required Qualifications * Three or more years experience supporting Windows and Macintosh or Linux operating systems * Proficiency supporting office productivity applications such as Outlook, Word, and Excel * Working understanding of Microsoft Active Directory and networking concepts * Proficiency with PC imaging and hardware repair * Experience administering and/or troubleshooting local area networks and Wifi * Experience using a ticketing system for customer service * Understanding of the basic concepts of Computer and Information Systems security * Ability to lift 25lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
