Head of Business Development, Global Selling
Amazon provides businesses of all types and sizes the opportunity to sell their goods on the Amazon platform worldwide. With 300+ million worldwide active customer accounts, including 150 million+ Prime customers in overseas Amazon marketplaces, Amazon is developing infrastructure aggressively to support this growth around the world, particularly in the booming cross border selling area. In this role, you will be directly responsible for leading a team of Business Development managers who help sellers get the best results from selling their products through Amazon's suite of products globally. As a business leader, you will identify the potential business opportunities, define the vision, set the direction and go-to-market strategy. The ideal candidates will combine an exceptional ability to coach, develop, and motivate team members; a passion for growing business through rigorous sales planning and consultative techniques; a keen eye for identifying process and workflow opportunities; and a willingness to roll up their sleeves and execute the tactics. Success in this position requires strong sales, people management, data analytical and problem-solving skills; attention to detail; the ability to thrive in a dynamic and changing environment; and a passion for helping others achieve results.

Responsibilities:
· Lead a high-performing team of 10+ Business Development managers
· Coach, develop and inspire your direct reports
· Identify actionable insights to improve seller results and team strategy
· Monitor progress against goals and respond to changes in the market
· Identify strategic selling partner prospects, prepare and participate in negotiations, analyze suggested terms, and manage relationships from start to finish
· Work cross-functionally within other Amazon organizations to drive growth and increase customer satisfaction
· Identify opportunities to improve products and the customer experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· 8+ years' experience in sales, marketing, business development, or consulting
· 3+ years' experience in building and leading
· Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem solving skills
· Proven leadership ability to influence, develop, and empower employees to achieve their best with a team approach
· Strategic thinker with excellent data analysis and analytical skills
· Ability to ruthlessly prioritize
· Deep Taiwan market experience required

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Strong business development skills with the ability to initiate relationships, assess partnership viability, work through long deal cycles, and close complex deals
· Leadership skills with the experience to help recruit and coach a high performing team
· Excellent analytical and planning abilities to design and oversee programmatic business development efforts
· Track record of success in initiating, proposing cross functional projects and driving to implement
· Team player with effective communication skills to influence across multiple stakeholders
· Able to thrive in a dynamic and constantly evolving environment and manage ambiguity
· Must be technically competent and have a strong understanding of e-commerce technologies, including partner ecosystem
· Data driven and “quantitative” mentality with an ability to back up ideas with facts and examples
· Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to speak effectively to any audience
· Fluency in Mandarin and English is required
