VMware Cloud on AWS World Wide Public Sector Sales (VMC on AWS WWPS) is a diverse team that supports the Sales, Partner Sales, Demand Generation, Marketing, Inside Sales, Solution Architects, and Business Development teams across US and Global Accounts. We align with AWS teams to better serve our customers in their journey to the cloud.

We are seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Hybrid Edge Channel Program Manager to spearhead the transformation of our sales enablement methodology and execution. In this role, you will own the design, launch, and coordination of our Outposts and Edge programs. This includes Outposts programs (such as Amazon ECS on AWS Outposts, which is ideal for low-latency workloads that need to be run in close proximity to on-premises data and applications), migrations and competitive responses.

Additionally, you will be responsible for sales readiness and enablement of our internal sales and system architect teams. You will collaborate closely with a broad set of key stakeholders from the Sales, Partner Sales, Solution Architect, Marketing, Business Development, and WW Enablement teams to develop and execute transformative programs in support of the World Wide Public Sector sales strategy.

To be successful in this role, it is critical that you have the ability to influence and convince others in order to drive projects with multiple key stakeholders to completion within pre-defined deadlines. Excellent program management, written, and verbal communication skills are required.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Work with a broad set of key stakeholders to design, launch, and maintain innovative sales and technical sales enablement programs such as 1) Outposts Channel Programs & continued on-going enablement 4) Competitive Programs 3) Migration programs 4) Hybrid Edge programs
· Acceleration Program and competitive initiatives.
· Ensure we have programmatic leadership in place and accountable for Outpost driving partner enablement and collaboration with marketing, sales and other stakeholder teams
· Create a scalable model that we can leverage globally to meet the increasing demand for Hybrid Cloud, Outposts VMC and the Edge/ IOT partner ecosystem opportunities
· Increase the level of programmatic visibility organizationally and focus for Outposts as the business grows
· Work with key stakeholders to develop and launch sales playbooks to support field execution in alignment with marketing campaigns and sales plays.
· Work closely with Marketing and Training and Enablement teams to design and deliver “best in class” deliverables.
· Act as a conduit and liaison between VMware and AWS to ensure Outposts synergies, shared best practices and drive customers’ modernization efforts
Travel is anticipated between 15-20%.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· 5+ years of product or program management experience in large organizations, with increasing influence and responsibility
· 5+ years working with partners to develop programmatic growth
· 3+ years VMware experience
· 5+ years Public Sector including routes to market (contracts), rules of engagement, and tactics for delivering results
· Bachelor’s degree is required
· Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role
· Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 7+ years of work experience with solid career progression in program management, communications or a related field that incorporates industry best practices in project and program management.
· 3+ years field or inside sales experience
· Demonstrated experience in government, non-profit, or education industry
· Bachelor degree or equivalent
