DESCRIPTION

Interested in Machine Learning? As the Frontend Engineer on the SageMaker UI team, you'll get to work on several initiatives building out user experiences that will help empower and democratize machine learning. You will make the most out of modern tools like Node.js, React, Redux, Typescript, Jest, Webpack and play an integral role in a product that will change the industry, and will be used globally at large scale. Successful candidate must have a strong drive for results, good interpersonal skills, and is a team player who has the ability to work in a fast-paced start-up like environment independently.

Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with senior engineers, UX designers, and product managers to develop friendly UI experiences.
Work closely with engineers to architect and develop the best technical design.
Develop/maintain operational rigor for the frontend of a fast-growing AWS service.
Develop the engineers of an existing “two pizza” scrum team.
Collaborate with other SageMaker SDE's for features that cut across SageMaker.
Engage with customers and other AWS partners.
Help with hiring.
You'll be well supported with by a group with deep technical chops, including multiple senior and principal engineers.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
· Equivalent experience to a Bachelor's degree based on 3 years of work experience for every 1 year of education
· 2+ years professional experience in software development.
· 2+ years of experience in Front-end focused Software Development (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, NodeJS, React, WebPack, HTTP mechanics/performance).
· 2+ years of experience with cross browser compatibility, browser tuning and optimization techniques/tools
· 2+ years of experience in multi-tier web architecture
