Are you looking for an intimate, fast-paced, early stage AWS team to apply your deep analytical and engineering skills to? Come join us building Amazon Chime! (https://chime.aws/) Amazon Chime is our solution to Unified Communications. Launched in 2017, we are built on top of the AWS cloud using AWS toolsets. We are specifically looking for builders who are interested in improving our customer experience by building out our web based technologies.

At Amazon Chime, we believe in using AWS's scale, reliability, flexibility and ease of use to deliver early versions of this exciting software quickly and iteratively, to get customer feedback, and use the feedback to make data driven and agile decisions. We rely on software engineers leveraging their own expertise and perspectives to drive quality into our product.

As a Front-End Engineer, you will design and develop solutions that help enable delivery of innovative ad products and experiences across a wide range of devices and web. You will be working on tools and infrastructure challenges involving novel customer experiences and innovative web applications, all with the goal of delivering a seamless experience to the customer.
A successful candidate will have an interest in developing in the front-end and middle-tier to create consumer-facing products. Candidates will leverage their strong technical ability, excellent organizational skills, great communication skills, and a motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
· Ability to take a project from scoping requirements through actual launch of the project
· Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
· Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs
· Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role
· Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
· 1+ years programming experience with common front-end languages and frameworks such as JavaScript / TypeScript, React, Angular, NodeJS.
