Amazon Quantum Ledger Database, a next generation purpose built database service is seeing tremendous interest from AWS customers. It is a foundational technology of Amazon's Blockchain strategy and a revolutionary OLTP database with scalable throughput. Amazon QLDB is a fully managed ledger database, first of its kind, that provides a transparent, immutable, and cryptographically verifiable transaction log ‎of all application data changes over time. It offers a SQL-like API, flexible document data model and ACID compliant transactions. QLDB eliminates the need for organizations to build ledger-like functionality when their applications require audit-ability and verifiability, such as, when tracking the history of credits and debits in banking applications, verifying data lineage of an insurance claim, or tracing movement of an item in a supply chain network. QLDB is serverless and highly scalable, allowing customers to scale effortlessly to support the demands of their applications.

The Edge and Developer Experience team in QLDB aspires to make it simple for developers to build ledger applications by providing a simple and expressive front-end APIs, easy-to-use tools and libraries. We are looking for a a highly passionate and capable Front-End Engineer who thrives on creative problem solving and enjoys the challenge of building world-class developer experience. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of thinking big in terms of architecture not just code, experience building UI components, turning customer needs into elegant, user-centered designs, as well as implementing those designs in the presentation layer by using smart, clean web development patterns. An ideal candidate will have experience understanding, mapping, designing, developing, and testing systems that empower developers to easily run queries or quickly build ledger applications to run transactions with QLDB service. to invent simple and elegant solutions. As a Front-End Engineer, you have the chance to help develop a new product from the very early stages. You will care deeply about customer experience. You will have high standards for yourself and everyone you work with, as you will drive engineering best practices and be constantly looking for ways to make the systems you own better. You have great communication skills and enjoy working in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.

· Masters degree in CS or an engineering discipline
· 5+ years of professional front end development.
· Experience building reusable UX components or libraries
· Strong UX design skills
· Experience building scalable, distributed, front-end experiences
· Proficient in 1 or more front-end frameworks (e.g. React, Angular, or Vue)
· 4+ years working with HTML, CSS, JavaScript
· 2+ years of web application code design and architecture

Desired profile


· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
· 2+ years of professional front-end development.
· Skilled with common front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript, and Node
· Deep experience in one or more relevant front-end frameworks such as React.
· Ability to rapidly prototype and adjust in response to customer feedback
· Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
· Solid coding practices including peer code reviews, unit testing, and a preference for agile development.
