Reporting and Analysis:
-Assist in financial close and perform related reporting, accruals etc.
-Perform financial reporting and support monthly P&L analysis and financial forecasts. Uses financial systems and advanced MS Excel functions to work with large data sets.
-Perform headcount reporting, planning, provide analyes and forecasting.
-Establishing, measuring and monitoring weekly KPI metric discussions for new and/or existing business initiatives and operational performance.
-Assist in Measuring and reporting progress on key goals for the business team in a timely and accurate manner.
-Perform ad-hoc business analyses and financial modeling.
-Provide inputs for monthly and quarterly business reviews in a timely manner.
-Facilitate business reviews with data analysis.Facilitate financial review meetings with business groups and work with business managers to ensure effective finance and cost management.
-Partnering with stakeholders to develop strategic multi-year or long term operating plans.
-Identifies and implements solutions to resolve, improve, automate, standardize, or simplify finance processes.
-Identifies incomplete or inaccurate data, identifies root causes of data issues, escalates discrepancies, fixes data where possible or partners to deliver a solution.
-Influences tactical decision-making and planning with data.
-Works on well-defined components of finance deliverables with moderate level of ambiguity.
-Understands business and financial principles. Seeks out learning opportunities to build acumen in financial and business analysis, controllership, and compliance.
-Clear and concise written and verbal communications that fully answer business questions along with ownership to write and present documents for stakeholder review.
-Contributes to knowledge sharing tools (i.e SOP, Cross training, Wiki) and collaborates well with team.
-Proven expertise managing, evaluating, analyzing data quickly and creating meaningful business reporting.
-Strong financial acumen with proven problem-solving and decision-making skills.
-Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
-Exceptional interpersonal skills — including written and oral communication skills.
-Advanced proficiency in Excel.
-Retail industry experience.
-Experience in Cognos and SQL is a strong plus.
- CA, CPA or CWA, with 6+ or more years of post-qualification experience in FP&A, closing of Books of accounts and reporting & analytics.
